COM DEV PROVIDES UPDATE ON SPECIAL COMMITTEE REVIEW

Cambridge, ON, May 9, 2008 - COM DEV International Ltd (TSX: CDV) ("COM DEV" or "the Company") today provided an update on the activities of the Special Committee established to review the Company's historical stock option granting practices (the "Special Committee").

The Special Committee's review and preparation of its report is proceeding. It is anticipated that the Special Committee's work will be completed and the board of the Company will have received and reviewed the report of the Special Committee, by June 12, 2008. The Company will provide an update on the status of the Special Committee's report on or before June 12, 2008.
