COM DEV RECEIVES REGULATORY APPROVAL FOR ACQUISITION OF PASSIVE MICROWAVE DEVICES PRODUCT LINE

EL SEGUNDO, CA – May 5, 2008 – COM DEV USA, LLC, a subsidiary of COM DEV International Ltd. (TSX: CDV), today announced that it been granted regulatory approval from the Committee for Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) for its proposed $12.2 million acquisition of the Passive Microwave Devices product line from L-3 Communications. COM DEV USA expects the acquisition to close by May 9, 2008.
