MATERIAL GENERALIST

COM DEV USA is actively searching for a motivated, knowledgeable, and skilled Material Generalist to be responsible for incoming material, stores, shipments, inventory, handling of hazardous and special purpose materials, kitting materials for production, expediting the flow of shop orders, material requisitions, and addressing shortages.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Receive incoming material and load and unload trucks using pallet jacks, dollies, forklifts or carts.
• Checks weights and measure of incoming items, check for damage and process as required.
• Performs inventory counts, and prepares parts for shipment.
• Pick up and deliver materials requiring special handling and compliance with applicable policies, procedures, regulations and laws.
• Expedite orders for materials, tools, parts, equipment, and assemblies to cover shortages when needed.
• Coordinates the priority of orders with the organization.
• Performs clerical and manual functions as required.
• Must meet the necessary certifications.

Position Requirements:

• High School diploma and 6 years of directly relevant experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of Oracle enterprise resource planning system to input and utilize data regarding material requirements and usage.
• Knowledge of inventory and scheduling systems.
• Ability to operate warehouse and stores equipment
• Certification to operate forklifts and other motor operating equipment
• Knowledge of passive microwave device manufacturing or related technology
• Experience preparing and transporting hazardous material.

Special Considerations:

• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required.
